The analysis principle of the urine strip is based on the dry chemistry method. The strip contains dry chemical reagent pads that react with the sample, resulting in a color change on the pad. This color change interprets the concentration of macroscopic chemical components in the sample, allowing their values to be determined.
Urine strip analysis can be conducted either manually or with a urine analyzer. In the manual method, the color change on the strip is visually compared to the reference color chart on the bottle. In contrast, the urine analyzer method employs colorimetry, where the intensity of the color corresponds to the concentration of the target analyte, ensuring more precise and objective results.
