PROLINE Salmonella Typhi Test Kit

PROLINE Salmonella Typhi Test Kit is a rapid serological test to detect specific antibodies against antigens of Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi in blood serum.
The Widal test refers to the detection of antibodies (IgM and IgG) against the antigens of Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi as an indicator of typhoid fever infection.
The PROLINE Salmonella Typhi Test Kit is used as a qualitative screening in vitro diagnostic test to detect Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi antibodies. This test works using the slide method, where serum mixed with reagents reacts with the O and H antigens on the slide, producing agglutination that is easily seen visually and microscopically. Precision readings are achieved in less than 1 minute.
PROLINE Salmonella Typhi Test Kit is a rapid test kit to detect Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi antibodies in serum, as an early indication of typhoid fever infection.

| Sample Type | Human Serum |
| Sample Volume | 1 drops (100 µL) |
| Reading Time | < 1 minute |
| ED | 24 Months |
| 1 | Serum Specimen Collection Preparation |
| Prepare equipment and materials according to the SOP for venous blood collection. | |
| 2 | Serum Specimen Collection |
| Collect 3–5 mL of venous blood using a dry tube and store at room temperature until the serum separates. | |
| 3 | Serum Specimen Extraction |
| Centrifuge the blood at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes to separate the serum from the blood cells. | |
| 4 | Specimen Treatment |
| Ensure that the serum is not contaminated and separates into serum layers. | |
| 5 | Test Preparation |
| Remove the sterile test slide and place it on a flat surface. | |
| 6 | Addition of Results |
| Add 1 drop of serum to the slide, then add 1 drop of reagent. Homogenize with a stirring rod, then place on an orbital shaker for 1 minute. | |
| 7 | Interpreting Test Results |
| Read the test results after 1 minute. | |
| Negative | No visible clotting. |
| Positive | Clumping is seen in S. Typhi O, H, AH, or BH, as further confirmed by a titer <1:60. |
| Invalid | The reagents are in contact with each other. |
