Bali Cross-Sectoral Coordination on Developing Domestic Industries and The Use of Domestic Medical Devices

June 26, 2019 – Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia hosted cross-sectoral coordination in the context of developing domestic industries and the use of domestic medical devices. The event invited various stakeholders in health sectors like public health offices (Dinas Kesehatan), sub-public health centers (puskesmas), hospitals, clinics, distributors, and manufacturers from both the public and private sectors. This coordination aimed to enhance the quality of health by focusing on early treatment services for preventable diseases such as dengue, fever, and malaria in the rural area. Besides, the Ministry of Health also emphasized on using domestic products as prioritized substitution choice of current imported medical devices. This intention was recognized by promoting domestic manufacturers of medical devices after the event exhibition. On this occasion, Proline got the chance to promote local IVD products like 11 parameters of clinical chemistry reagents manufactured in Cikarang, West Java.
