Pancreatic Amlylase CC FS
Pancreatic amylase is an enzyme produced by the exocrine tissue of the pancreas to aid in the digestion of starch. This enzyme is responsible for digesting many types of sugar which will then be released into the bloodstream when the pancreas is inflamed. Pancreatic amylase assay is an in vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative determination of pancreatic amylase in serum and plasma by enzymatic colorimetry.
